Freight in India still gets booked over WhatsApp. Lorry owners post empty vehicles, shippers post loads, and deals get closed in a few messages without a broker taking a cut. This page collects working transport groups covering LCV and pickup work, full truck loads, part loads, courier networks and driver hiring.
Every link has been checked by hand. Dead invites, duplicates and groups with nothing to do with transport have been removed — if you’ve been here before, the list is considerably shorter and considerably more useful.
Transport Groups by City
If you work a specific corridor, start with the city page — the groups there are sorted by route and load type:
- Coimbatore Transport Groups — Tamil Nadu–Kerala freight corridor
- Bangalore Transport Groups — air cargo, courier and last-mile
- Truck Transport Groups — full load and long-haul
- Pickup Transport Groups — small vehicles and local delivery
- Karnataka Drivers Groups — driver jobs and hiring
- Hyderabad Drivers Groups — driver jobs and hiring
- RTO Groups — licence, permit and vehicle paperwork
- Carpool Groups — shared commuting

LCV, Pickup or Truck — Choosing the Right Vehicle
Booking the wrong size vehicle is the most common way to overpay. A rough guide by payload:
| Vehicle | Typical payload | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Three-wheeler (Ape, Champion) | Up to ~0.5 t | Intra-city, narrow lanes, small shop deliveries |
| Tata Ace / Chhota Hathi (LCV) | ~0.75–1 t | City distribution, e-commerce, household shifting |
| Pickup (Bolero, Dost, Intra) | ~1.2–2 t | Local trade, market runs, semi-urban delivery |
| Eicher / Canter 14–19 ft | ~3.5–7 t | Regional freight, part loads between cities |
| Truck 6-wheel / 10-wheel | ~9–16 t | Bulk goods on interstate routes |
| Container 20–32 ft | ~7–16 t | Volume-heavy but light cargo, weather protection |
| Trailer / multi-axle | 20 t and above | Heavy machinery, ODC, long-haul bulk |
Two things people get wrong: volume often runs out before weight does — light bulky cargo like foam or empty containers fills a vehicle long before it hits payload limits. And overloading is not a saving. Beyond the permitted limit you’re liable for penalties under the Motor Vehicles Act, and an insurance claim after an accident can be rejected outright.
Booking Safely Through a WhatsApp Group
- Verify the vehicle registration on the Parivahan or mParivahan portal before any money moves. You’ll see the registered owner, vehicle class and insurance status.
- Never pay the full amount in advance. Part advance on loading, balance on delivery, is standard practice across the trade.
- Insist on a lorry receipt (LR) or consignment note. Without one you have no proof of handover and no claim if goods go missing.
- Check the goods are insured — many transporters carry only limited liability, and it rarely covers full consignment value.
- Treat a quote far below market as a warning, not a bargain.
- Keep the negotiation written in the chat rather than moving to calls only. You’ll want the record if there’s a dispute.
How to Join
- Tap any Join Group link — WhatsApp opens with a preview showing the group name and member count.
- If nothing happens, the invite has been revoked or the group has hit its 1,024-member limit. Try another and let us know so we can remove it.
- Read the pinned message before posting. Many load groups ban brokers or restrict posting to certain hours.
- Mute high-traffic groups — load posts run all day and you’ll still see every one.
FAQs
Are transport WhatsApp groups free to join?
Yes. Every group listed here is free. Some load groups are admin-approval only, so you may wait briefly before being added. Anyone charging a fee for access is not worth joining.
What is an LCV and when should I book one?
LCV means light commercial vehicle, typically a Tata Ace or similar carrying up to about a tonne. They are the right choice for city distribution, small shop deliveries and household shifting, where a full truck would be wasted capacity.
How do I find a return load for my empty vehicle?
Post in the load matching groups above with your current location, destination, vehicle type and size, and the date you are free. Transporters running the opposite direction watch these groups for exactly this.
Is it safe to book a lorry through a WhatsApp group?
It can be, with basic checks. Verify the vehicle registration on the Parivahan portal, insist on a lorry receipt, and never pay the full amount before delivery. Most disputes come from skipping these steps.
Why has a group link stopped working?
WhatsApp invite links stop working when an admin revokes them or the group reaches its 1,024-member limit. We re-check the links on this page and remove any that have gone dead.
Can I advertise my transport business in these groups?
Usually yes, if it is relevant and not repeated. Many groups ban brokers or limit promotional posts, so read the pinned rules before posting.
What happens if my goods are damaged in transit?
Raise it with the transporter immediately and note the damage on the delivery documentation. Transporter liability is often limited, so for valuable consignments arrange separate goods-in-transit insurance rather than relying on the carrier’s cover.
